Contents Page Process Gif

Through this gif I have made of my contents page process you can see how far I have come since the beginning. At first, I took a gray-scale approach to my magazine but I changed my mind as whilst on the gray-scale magazine I always felt it was bare so I tried to present it in different ways but I could see the page going downhill - therefore I started from scratch. I created the red colour schemed contents page and I instantly felt that there was an improvement. I also changed the model to make the contents page look better as using the same model 3 times would not higher my grade.

Contents Page Process

Here I have added photographs of my contents page process where you can see the clear process it has been through. I did this project throughout Photoshop and as you can see it has been through masses of changes - going from a gray-scale contents page with a female model to a red-scale contents page with 2 images of a male model. It has drastically improved and the final outcome to me is extremely more professional than the first contents page.

Front Cover Progress Gif

I have made a gif to show the process that my front cover has been through. Although, to me the differences aren't massive - they have still made a difference to the cover of the magazine giving it a more professional look. One of the biggest difference was the change in the model photograph - where my model had a different hairstyle, different outfit, different make-up and a different pose. This made a mass improvement as in the first photograph I felt the model looked as if she was holding back and almost looked quite shy whereas in the second photograph she looks more confident and strong which adds to the target audience.

Front cover progress

Here you can see a clear view of what process my magazine has been through. To me, the starting point of giving this magazine a professional look was when I changed the photo of the model - giving the front cover a more bold and confident look. In the end, I think the boldness in the main feature, the movement of the articles and the adding of the yellow completed the professional look of my magazine giving it more composition and more potential.
